Philip Goldberg is the author or co-author of numerous books, including the acclaimed "American Veda"; a public speaker and workshop leader; meditation teacher and ordained Interfaith Minister.Millions of spiritual paths have been inspired by the classic Autobiography of a Yogi. But the iconic memoir leaves out a great deal about the teacher who was considered the 20th century's first superstar guru. Philip Goldberg's The Life of Yogananda: The Story of the Yogi Who Became the First Modern Guru, fills the gaps with compelling new information, insight, and historical context. More than an overview of Yogananda’s journey from spiritual prodigy in India to world-renowned teacher, the presentation features reflections on the powerful lessons we can draw from the life of a great spiritual master. Includes remarkable photos and audio recordings.
Philip has studied India’s spiritual traditions for over 45 years, as practitioner, teacher, and writer. The author of numerous books, including the award-winning American Veda and the new biography The Life of Yogananda. He blogs at Spirituality & Health, cohosts the podcast “Spirit Matters,” and leads American Veda Tours to India.
