Studying this phenomenon shows that this is because there is a lack of neighborhood-level social capital in Hindu society – particularly of a nature that can thrive under pressure and in situations of chaos. Do temples today fulfill the function they did centuries ago? What is the history of Akhada culture (or shakha culture) in ancient India? Are they a viable option for Hinduism today? What is the real scope of Kshaatra culture in our individual spiritual lives? The importance of being shastradhaari - When was Hindu society de-militarized? By invaders? Or did we do it to ourselves?
